On July 5, Creative Sanctuary is excited to follow up last year's sellout show celebrating perhaps the most influential instrumentalist and vocalist of the 20th Century, "Pops", Louis Armstrong, Armstrong's birthday has traditionally been celebrated as July 4th, 1900, though more recent research has turned up a birth certificate for August 4th 1901. The Sanctuary has chosen to stick with tradition and celebrate close to the date Louis considered his birthday.
James Zeller is again producing this years show which will look at the entire scope of Armstrong's very long career. The band will feature a cast of local stars including Ramsey Isaacs on drums, Britt Smith on guitar, Lee Phillips on bass, Katie Belknap on clarinets and vocals and other local stars TBA. Stay tuned!
