doors 7 pm, show 7:30 pm The Sanctuary and James Zeller are excited to celebrate Cole Porter's birthday with a concert of his music Saturday, June 8th. Cole Porter composed from the 1910s-50s, penning many of the most beautiful marriages of words and music in the "American Songbook." His music is not only standard repertoire for singers, but for Jazz instrumentalists. His songs have been famously recorded by great vocalists from Billie Holiday to Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra, and by jazz luminaries from Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Joe Henderson and so many more. This concert will take a look at Porter's personal history and relationship to his music, and the history of his music as played by influential musicians. The ensemble will include James Zeller (Vocals and trombone), Gabe Lubowe (piano), Danny Gaon (double bass),  Ramsey Isaacs (drums) with special guests Tree (viola, chromatic harmonica, saxophones) and Katie Belknap (Vocals, Clarinet) sponsored by Leo Proctor and Maureen Murphy
